For those that have these sandals, what is the sizing like? I wear a 12.5 running shoe and am debating between the 45/46 and the 47/48's. Unfortunatly I couldn't find them locally so I am forced to mail order them.
Thanks for any help people provide!
I wear a size 11 shoe (Australian) and am using the 45/46 sandal which is a snug fit.

i wear a 11 or 11.5 (US) depending on the shoe. My Shimano sandals are 45/46. Also, if you have a wide foot they might not be the best choice; they are pretty narrow compared to all my other shoes.

Sandals fit loose compared to cycling shoes, so if you're in the middle you can go down half size. I wear 10.5 normally; my 10.5 shimano sandals fit fine, even with socks.

You want room for your sealskinz socks in the winter!

Maybe not. I just noticed you live in Santa Barbara.
I find Shimano sizing on the small side. I am a 38 but must buy 39/40 to get a good fit in Shimano. I have Shimano MTB shoes as well as the sandals.

Go up a size. I wear 44 shoes usually but the 43-44 was very much smaller than i liked. The 45-46 is a tad too big but they are comfortable and I have l used them a lot the last year. Anyone has some advice to remove the foul smell my feet are putting into them?

Nope. I had to throw away a pair of Tevas because of the smell. My shoes never smell but something about the foam rubber in these new-style sandals is absolutely raunchy.
Fortunately, my shimano sandals are still okay. Do you have the new style, three-strap ones with the foam bit between / across the straps, or the two strap model?

I have the two strap model, problem probably gets worse because I often wear them at work in summer.

+1 i've had tevas and they sunk to high heaven. i'm afraid that if i wore my shimano sandals as a every day regular shoe they would start stinking too. right now i just wear them commuting to work and back, change shoes when i get there.
