Mountain - Plains - Hi

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have asked the moderators to move this thread (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=80754)to this subforum.
It really fits in here.
Otherwise, HI! to all - I see some familiar screen names here.

Hey yourself.
Lately, I've been riding 20-25 miles daily on the Parker area trails (http://www.parkeronline.org/public_works/parks_trails/park_map.aspx).
I'll be leading a group ride up Waterton Canyon on Monday morning - leaving from the parking lot at 8:30. I lead rides every Monday for our church "seniors" group.
Where are you riding?

I live right by Red Rocks Community College and generally ride Around Lakewood and Golden. Planning on venturing further out, though.
I'm currently commuting 14 miles each way to work (I work just south of I-70 on Brighton Blvd)

OK - Neat display at Bikely
Years ago, I used to commute from what is now Centennial to Westminster. 28 miles one way. Then, I started driving part way and left from the Cherry Creek Mall - 18 miles one way. Then my car got broken into at CCM, and I stopped!

It looks like your commute is very similar to mine. I start from the same area and take either 1st Ave or Kentucky and ride up the South Platte to get to school. What are your favorite rides around Lakewood?

I don't really have any 'favorite' rides ... I'm still exploring. Other than my commute, I've never ridden the same ride twice.
Last week I started from work and needed to go down the Platte to Mineral Station... After my stop I followed the C-470 trail all the way to Golden and then home. That was a GREAT ride, and I loved it. (Well, other than the 30 mph headwinds for about 30 minutes on the way south!)
