I was on a bent ride in Death Valley earlier this year, and noticed a few bent drivers with fairly long visors on their helmets.
I think the usual visor on helmets are designed for DF riders in that they are looking much lower than bents (down at their front axles) and thus they don't need much of a visor to shield their eyes.
We bent riders, on the other hand, are sitting upright with our heads in a much more natural position and need longer visors for the same sun shading effect.
Anyone have any idea where these long visors can be found?
Thanks for any info.

A thought about long visors. When I'm riding my DF, my head is down a bit, so that I'm trying to peer out from underneath the visor to see up ahead.

On my 'bent, the visor is out of the way of my view, but when going downhill, especially when I recline back into the seat more, I feel the visor trying to lift the helmet. With a longer visor, the effect would be even more noticeable.

So...there'd be a tradeoff between shading better and the aero abilities of a helmet visor.

yes, that looks like the ones they were wearing. Thanks!

You are probably right Tornado, especially with a high bb bike, but I've been wearing an old cloth visor that sticks out a long way with my LWB bent, and it doesn't castch the wind, even with my fairing in place. So a more substantial one would work better.

Thanks for the link! I bought one after your post, and if used it with great success!

Excellent design. One small quibble (sp?): the visor brim isn't quite as wide as I would have liked. However, it looks better as it is, and works quite well. It's rigid without being a safety hazard in an accident, very light weight, adjustable, and attaches firmly with the included attachment device (sort of a super-sturdy velcro that seems less likely to get fuzzy or soft over time). Shipping was fast, prompt, and courteous.
