I noticed that Star Trac makes commerical grade spinning bikes and was wondering if anybody knows of any other company that sells them.

LeMond makes one called the rev master. I don't know if it's commercial grade but it's suppose to be pretty good. You can check it out at www.lemondfitness.com.

Schwinn makes one, the gym I go to has a few of these schwinns and a lot of the Star Trac NXT's. The NXT's are far, far better. Much sturdier and more comfortable. Of course, it's also more expensive...
Here's a link to the Schwinn.

Giant also makes a line of "spin bikes"

I saw the Lemond the other day when we were getting a treadmill. I spent about 10 min on it, it's pretty good with alot of adjustability to it.

what kind of price range are these bikes in.. i've been thinking about getting one this winter.
The Lemond and Star Trac have leather brakes, and if you oil soak the brake with 3in1,
the similarity to real biking is better than a real bike on a mag trainer, and better
than other spinbikes. very handy for 4 second sprint repeats. feels like the road.
keep it oiled up and it'll last forever (and get really hot during use) making the
tension curve perfect
I have yet to find any other braking or resistance system that comes close
to the real-feel of the Lemond or Star-Trac. I am talking about the ones with
the single brake on the circumference surface of the flywheel, activated with
a turn-screw dial
