Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Anyone have any normal operating procedure for after that happens?
Maybe starting with... if the bike is still wet wipe it down with a towel
that's it, a towel.
if you don't already have a hole in your bb shell
and you drive that bike in the rain often, you
should drill a hole.
otherwise, if you don't have all sealed cartridge
bearings, you just need to clean and re-grease
everything once in a while.
um, never leave it out in the rain?
if you've been riding in the rain, I reccomend getting a roll of those blue shop towels and spinning the rear wheel whilst wiping down the chain real quick.
not in the sense of a real or thorough chain-cleaning, but a quick remove-the-grit wipe.
if you're talking more than a day of bad weather riding, check your chain tension regularly. the road crap stretches them really fast.
