Southern California - Caligurl why did you CHEAT?

I heard you cheated and started early. What would invoke such devious actions?

pick one:

a) i was SO devastated that you weren't coming to the ride... that i set out on my own to drown my sorrows on the hills over not getting to ride with you! http://www.smileycons.com/img/emotions/206.gif

b) i had some important shopping to get done... and had to get up, then down the hills QUICKLY! http://www.smileycons.com/img/emotions/227.gif

c) cheated? HOW could riding the ride ALL the way to the top of the ski lifts possibly be cheating? some would actually say my way was harder... noone motivating me.... encouraging me! http://www.smileycons.com/img/emotions/149.gif

d) something smelled at the start...so i had to leave to enjoy the fresh mountain air. http://www.smileycons.com/img/emotions/222.gif

e) i needed to get to the top so i could take pictures of everyone arriving at the lifts. http://www.smileycons.com/img/emotions/113.gif

f) i never learned how to tell time.... and someone told me it was after 8 and i had missed the group.... i kept trying to catch them! http://www.smileycons.com/img/emotions/230.gif

g) someone told me there was an important phone call waiting for me at the lodge... and i had to get there quickly! http://www.smileycons.com/img/emotions/168.gif

I guess I really cheated, I rode GMR on Friday.. My Saturdays will free up in a few weeks and hope to ride with all of you soon..

Yes, I "cheated" too, but I was really only cheating the heat. I woke up at 5:00 AM so I could be ready to rde by 7:00 AM. I started with Arthur and Linda Adams at a bit past 7:00 (maybe ten or fifteen after).

Even with all the head start, the heat felt fairly brutal by the time I got back to Glendora.

I know the "official" start time was 8:00 AM, but to me, that just didn't make sense at this time of year and in this kind of heat. Maybe in Nov, Dec, Jan. or Feb. but not the first part of Sept!

Whenever it was that caligurl started, it was after me!

No one caught her, I can vouch for that. I tried as hard as I could but she was simply too fast.:o
