My 2003 Cannondale has almost 3000 miles on it. I had to take it in to the shop yesterday for the first time because of a clicking noise from the rear of the bike. The LBS guy, whom I love, told me that the hub was fine but that he could only get rid of the noise by releasing the tension on the spokes and rebuilding the wheel.
Anyone else have problems with this wheel?
As for the Conti Ultra 3000 tires. I didn't rotate mine and had a monumental blowout at 2700 miles on the rear tire. Aword to the wise.

That sounds like it could be correct. Those are the low-spoke count wheels that look like Rolf Vectors right?
They have high tension on each spoke and I know the Rolfs made noise because of that too. I had some Sestrieres that made a bit of noise from the spokes.

 2003 with 3000 miles. Are you glued to the seat Lou? You must ride it from the bedroom to the kitchen and all over the house as well as outside.

Well Sam, I've had it since October...Excuse me, I have to pedal to the bathroom now...
d@mn! 3000 miles! I have 2003 R600, too...I only have 75 on it...and half of those are from being on my trainier in the basement 'cause the snow has been keeping me off the road. I feel like a slacker now :-(
Don't rotate your tyres-replace the rear when it wears out!

This guy is one serious bike rider. I can say that because I've been with him on a lot of those miles and have watched him develop into one of the best long distance riders in this area. Get that wheel fixed Lou, lets do another long one Sunday.
