I noticed that when I spin the front wheel of the Mavic Elites (off the ground), it seems to rotate for quite a while. Yet when I do the same for the SL, its spin isn't close to the Elites? Is there something wrong with the SL's??

Probably the bearings on one are a little smoother than the other. This could be normal, and based on the type of lubricant or bearing design. Or it could be that the bearings are over-tightened or rough and worn on one hub. Try removing the wheels from the bike, and spinning the axle by hand: if it feels smooth with no play or wobble, then the bearing is good; if not, then the bearing needs adjustment or replacement.
