Mountain Biking - age and riding style

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I saw on here recently where a poster wrote that most of us older folks ride xc only. Ive found, at least in my area of the planet, that most of us older folks have gotten onto more agressive riding and less into xc and that the xc racers and riders are , but not always, younger.
my question is how old are you and what would best describe your style?
XC
Aggressive xc
XC racer
Fitness
Freeride
Downhill
Slacker
Trials
All mountain
Other, please specify
All the above
I used to be more of a XC racer type but now do more aggressive xc and all mountain stuff. its not so much about speed as it is new challenges and exploration and dont care as much about downhill vs uphill as long as its technical or a new spot for me to ride. the more technical the better.

Another 15 year old youngin' here. I do more of the endurance stuff. Triathlons, both on and off-road, XC racing, enduro XC events, running XC, and road riding. I think that's about it. :o
I'm wanting to give DH a try. I'm thinking it will focus more on bike handling skills and explosive power than anything else. Only problem is I'd have to get new riding gear, I've heard not many downhillers show up in spandex and race-cut jerseys. :p

I'm all about the ups. Climbing is good fun IMO
25, mostly XC with a fair bit of singletracks and trails.
Climbing is good because you get to go down after the torture stops.

Just turned 35 (ack!)--used to be all about dirt jumping, now can't because I abused myself too much. Strictly trailriding and roadie for me, now...
31 and I've been riding more aggressively as time goes on.

I'm the oldest so far at 67. I bike half-time in N Florida and half time in the mountains of GA and Tenn and once in a while N Carolina. It's aggressive XC in N Florida as the trails need lots of speed to keep them interesting. It's XC mostly singletrack in the mountains. I love to climb and explore those many trails there.
I also road bike once in a while.

51, gravity junkie. DH, agressive trailriding, but I like XC racing and off-road duathlons too (masochist!).

37, aggressive XC, easy urban (no drops more than 3'), All-mountain.
My riding style is dictated more by the trails in my area vs. what I prefer to ride! I try to ride the more aggressive line and always take the riskier route.
Always wanted to get into DJing, but never have. I may try it out with some friends this coming weekend.

31 - Anywhere my 2 wheels will take me. Some would say more aggressive as I get older, but truth is I ride smarter, not harder, as my skill level goes up.
