I just picked up this bike from a bike shop! (Giant Yukon)

I whent on a little ride when i got home, (Who doesnt when they first get a new bike) , and I am very happy with this selection. The disk brakes work well, and I am satisfied with everything else. What components would you recomend to upgrade in time? I am already thinking about the fork because the adjustments either dont work or I am doing it wrong. Thank you for your recomendations!!! Call the bike shop and ask about the fork. Is it new? My recommendation on upgrading...dont until it wears out, or you get REALLY annoyed with something.

Do you mean the giant logo on the fork or the giant logo and the fork? No stickers or anything on the fork, but there is sticker residue. There are logos/words on the bike you just cant see them very well. And yes this was brand new, and i got it for $350, even though the other one was just a different color or a different frame size and was $399. (We found out they accidently put a different tag on it, but then they said they would still give it to us for $350)

This is my policy. As much fun as it is to upgrade stuff, it can be hard on the wallet to just look for things to buy. I only change stuff out when I start getting bothered by it.

I too have the same bike. I purchased mine brand new about a month ago. So far no complaints, but the suspension could be a bit stiffer. I'm a bit confused too in how to adjust the preload.

I assume that these are 07 models?

I have 2 mates with the same bike (from previous years). One of them has thrashed it and its still going well. The other just sits in the garage (the bike not him) but I've ridden it a few times and was quite impressed especially for the price. Enjoy.

To adjust the preload on the old ones you just turned the knob on the top of the shock clockwise but that may have changed (there should be a shock instruction manual that explains that type of stuff too).
