Road Cycling - New Roadbike Magazine

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

http://www.asphaltmag.com/index.htm I saw an ad for this magazine in my Bike Bits from Adventure Cycling. Anybody see Asphalt magazine anywhere?

Search just shows links to website. I hope they are going to be out at the stands.
Hey wow! The first issue has an article about my bike. |8^)

The more magazines to choose from the better.
I am a Cycle Sport fan myself but I am noticing more and more that they don't seem to edit it very well. Grammar issues, mis-captioned pictures, etc.
It really hit me when they did a Denis Zanette piece and there were typo's. If you are writing about a dead guy you had proof read your stuff.
I'll check out this new mag.
I received my issue a few weeks back,
and absolutely devoured it. Its a good read,
devoted to road bikes and articles about road
biking.
I believe that RainmanP had some issues with it
(the article on Ventoux, but the writer never finished
the climb!) but I'm willing to give them the benefit
of the doubt until they get fully settled in.
I'm hoping it replaces Bicycle Guide in the scheme
of things (with same editor, I'd bet it does).
Yeah its new, a bit thin for the cost, however the
editor told me that if enough people subscribe they
will publish more often.

I got a one year subscription. Received my first issue about 5 weeks ago. Great magazine.

If you're curious, go here (http://www.adventuresportsradio.com/pages/838934/index.htm) and listen to the Jan. 6th interview with the publishers Patrick Brady and Lorraine Daly.
The 40 minute interview with Lance Armstrong (further down the same page) is pretty interesting, too.
