My hunch is this should be in the shameless promotions forum?! Just my gut reaction.

I don't know about that. The seller is just up the road from me, but Deliriou5 is in NJ or somesuch place.

Great bike, but the shifting components aren't that great for the bike. I would expect at least Ultegra.

I suppose he's making a statement about the junky Sora components on a C/F bike. I'm not certain that this bike was available with them originally or not, but being that it is a Trek, I wouldn't be surprised if it is original. Remember, even Cadillac used to have a V-6 standard....
Maybe he's commenting on that ridiculous mini-pump? Who knows?

Well, if we are speculating about the original poster's intent, I think it was his comment on the futility of warfare as a solution for the world's troubles and a plea for peace in our time.

So, maybe the thread needs to be moved to Political Discussions? :o

Or maybe not.

also, me and my friend were trying to come up with explanations of how this bicycle came to be in the first place.

1. The owner was clueless and just wanted "Lance's bike" and some unscrupulous LBS salesperson sold it to him/her w/ junk components.

2. (I think the most likely explanation) The owner had a full Dura-Ace 5500 and decided to upgrade frames. The Dura-Ace went on the new frame, and somehow the owner had access to a Sora groupset lying around... maybe from an old bike or a friend who had also upgraded.

Not just Sora, but SRAM and Superbe Pro. This is a regular Frankenbike. When I read the description I was pretty sure that the frame had been stripped and rebuilt from spare parts. I'm kind of surprised that I don't recognize it. I guess I don't know all of the local riders. It isn't the latest edition of the USPS frame and I do think the seller is asking too much, but, on eBay you can sell almost anything to someone. I've seen funnier things sell...

A little more comment in your original post would have helped us to share your mirth. Here I was thinking that all you were saying was " give peace a chance." :D

Come to think of it....

I know the shop where this bike was most likely purchased. Explanation 1 could be correct.

Looking at his feedback he bought a bike from a guy. It has been too long to look up what the bike was but my guess would be the bike was bought last October and he took all the goodies off to sell the bike.
