okay, i have to preface these photos with the fact that i have never jumped a mountain bike before. infact, i am on this forum more than i ever get to ride  i think this jump is about 15-18 feet. sorry it is hard to really see the jump and stuff, maybe another time i can get better pics. these were taken off of video...so i have a clip of the actual crash! not sure how i can show you guys video...

here is the aftermath of my very first jump...ever:

so now i know why seats should be kept very low. i was trying to keep the Thomson Elite insignia out of the seat tube  i ended up scuffing it up far worse had it been there to begin with. the nads are okay...i think my butt took the brunt of of it. thank god:

lesson learned :(

these were the successful subsequent jumps:

I'll give you a 9.5 on crash style. The shin in the fork /foot aginst the tire is a advanced combo move that is sure to impress the judges. Very Nice.:D

well...probably a little misleading pic. i didn't come down on it like that. basically came up short on the double and then was catapulted over the bars. but i could certainly see why you thought i landed full force on front.;)

Wow that first pic looks like it sucked! I could see a broken leg out of that easily. Glad you're alright. I have yet to try any jumps and your first picture definitely didn't help my confidence.

Another 9.5 from the Canadian judge.

Way to keep at it though! So how does the bike feel?

it kind of had a chopper feel to it. i imagine the long travel fork. i am not use to that, but it is feeling better pretty quick. i think i might finally learn to manual and wheelie with it. it seems pretty adept at that.

You need to put "Flavor of the month" as the title, then you win.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

I too learned the hard whay when jumping my XC HT going down the trail with the seat up. NOT a good idea. I now lower my seat about 1.5 inches on the trails that have jumps to make it a little easier.
