As some of you may know I shattered my carbon handlebars. LINK (http://sirlanceimnot.com/?p=30) I am looking for a new set of bars. Aluminum or carbon it really does not mater but they must be 31.8 mm. Flat top bars are very nice but not necessary. Thanks in advance for all your help.
P.S. Light weight is a plus ;)

What are you looking for in width? I still have a K-Wing 44cm bar I can't use if you're interested (it's too wide for me). I had it on my LOOK but only put about 100 miles on it with that bar on.

After doing GMR with the gang on Saturday, we stopped at Incycle in Pasadena on the way home. I was looking at the FSA and that K-Wing looks really sweet. when I upgrade my handlebars that model is currently on the top of my list.
I didn't see you and Cali, it was too hot to climb up to the lifts and we had to get back. Glad you made it back safely.

Not gunshy about the carbon. Wow that is a nice looking bar. Thanks for the heads up!

i'm surprised you'd go carbon again. deda 215's are a nice traditional bend bar.

I have the FSA K-Wing but even though I've been riding with them for over a year, I still can't decide if I like them or not. In order to get the top of the bars flat (or an least in a comfortable position) they need to be rotated to a point where the hoods seem too low. If you move the hoods further up, they aren't in a good place for the drops. That said, they are great for riding on the tops.

Duct Tape that shat up and its good to go! :D Take a look at Deda Newtons. I got the Deda 215s (which by the way held up right behind you;) :D ) because I couldnt find Newtons in non-O.S. I dont like the look of the OS'ed set up. Glad to hear you got a cab ride back to the village. Hope you get a chance to descent down GMR next time. All I could say is thank your guardian angel!

Glad you stayed on the bike! After seeing the bars I was amazed you stayed upright... I'd have hit the deck. What did the manufacturer say about them?
I just put the Easton EC90 Equipe bars on my bike and I love them! They have the ergo - D shaped drop and the 31.8s only weigh 200 grams! The Equipe Pro has a shorter drop with out the ergo shape. They're a good option if you go the non-wing route! Check them out here: Easton EC90 Equipe (http://www.eastonbike.com/PRODUCTS/BARS/bar_road_ec90_equipe.html)

I got some supergo bars when my flats broke. Yeah, they're out of business, but if you dig at performance you can find them. ~250 g and $12. Stiffer and lighter than my old ones and certainly good enough to race on.
Good luck...

I love my K wings, been riding them for a couple years. CJ is right, though, there is a funny thing going on with the angles, but I got used to it, and now don't know how I could ride anything else. Enjoy!
