Would you support Suntour if they marketed components for both MTB and Road in the entry level to high end in the US, Canada, Europe or wherever else?(NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE WHO IS NOT MENTIONED!). Would you build your next bike or outfit your current ride with their stuff?

Hi Hunter,

It will be interesting to see how their components fair against the likes of Sram and Shimano...I'm looking forward to upcoming reviews.

Any idea of a release date in the US?

Cheers matey

Rich

p.s. Did you mention Scandinavia in your distribution list for Suntour...I think you might upset a few people if you don't!!! :D

I`m on with Rich, first see and than buy, if they proof to be equal or better as Shimano / Sram, it`s easy.
Maybe Suntour is better compatible with other brands than Shimano with Sram, i hope so cause Shimano is expensive stuff.

There is a US distributor for Suntour. Their website did have addresses for other countries but it currently under construction. I am trying to find someone who has already bolted the stuff on to see how they like it. No date of release. I got a repsonse once saying they were not building a component group again under the XC Pro name. Although they were doing a group for cyclocross under a different name. I did not ask for a release date. He did say that it would be to weak for MTB.

I'd look at the reviews first and then decide. My latest rebuild was Truvative and Sram. But I did use a ShimaNO, (that's for you Hunter;) ) BB. DG
