i'm new to the forum, though i've occasionally lurked in the past...
i live in amherst, ma. work in northampton, and get around solely by bicycle.

my main ride is a BLACK 2005 bianchi pista w/brooks b-17 saddle, fsa 48t chainring & 16t cog (though i had been riding with a 44t chainring until last friday), used shimano 600 crankset, campy bb, izumi super toughness chain, suzue high-flange flip-flop hub on a velocity aerohead rim, and no brake. i'm in the market for a new wheelset & possibly replacing the factory stem with a nitto.. oh, and armadillo tires just so that i never have to patch another tube again.

i also have an early '80s benotto road bike with all factory components, save for the front wheel and handlebar, which were mauled earlier this year when a car decided to try to drive right through me. i didn't put too much money into reviving it, as it's not my favorite ride.. i've given thought to converting it to a singlespeed or fixed for winter use, though... especially if i end up getting a new wheelset anytime soon & have my current ones just LAYING around..

does anyone have any insight as to the best way to get rid of cable stops?

my other big-money vice is collecting hardcore/punk records, particularly '80s japanese & scandinavian hc. so, between spending hundreds tricking out my bike & hundreds a month on systematic death & ikka shinjyuu records, i am frequently broke.. but i wouldn't really have it any other way.

You should fit right in in the Fixie and S/S forum.
