The frame: Giant STP, will either be the 2006 Lenosky Edition or the 2007 Lenosky Edition.

Yeah, I know.
Can you send me the Kona? j/k dude, I just sold my Iron Horse. Don't think I've got enough parts left to put together another bike without spending a ton of money.

Don't know.
that frame looks nice! i thought people didn't like giant too much, are they starting to come back? or maybe they never left...
The STP is still quiet popular in the urban/DJ scene... not sure about there other bikes though. Sweet frame man, Im sure you will like it.

giant is the mcdonalds of the bike world in my opinion.. the epitomy of generic, mass production. and I don't eat at mcdonalds.

And Trek, Specialized isn't?
I'd be getting another Cowan if I was close to somewhere that sold them. With being that I hate specialized with a passion, and don't want to wait months for a Chase. I'm getting a really good deal on a STP frame.
Trek owns 4 other companies, Gary Fischer, Klein, Lemond, Miracle(BMX).
Yes, Giant may be a big company, but they also make a huge portion of Trek, Specialized's, and Gary Fischers bikes. The Giants are only a small portion compared to the amount of treks, Specialized and Gary Fischers that Giant makes for them.
You know that Specialized Hardrock, Rockhopper alot of you own, that trek 4300/4500 that alot of you own as well... Giant built those.
In addition, you know the one advantage of being a big company is that the bang for the buck is up there. Look at the ranier for example. With the Ranier, at that you're getting full deore for the drivetrain, a Marzocchi fork, Avid Mechanicals, ISIS cranks and BB.
i was thinking about the same frame myself. that and the vagrant.
i saw a kid with a built up lenosky on unrealcycles. i really like the graphics on the frame.

i would say giant is more like toyota than mcdonalds.
if you get my drift.

Well at least you understand this little known fact. Giant was building schwinn, trek, specialized, and many other bikes before there was even a Giant branded bike. So, I don't give those companies any more respect than giant.
