The picture in "with advocates like these" reminded me.
Does anybody remember a story a while back a bout a guy in the UK who went all over the place taking photos of the paintings of bicycles that the put on the road to indicate a cycle lane.
Cos apparantly they don't always use a template, because the lanes are all different widths, they're often done freehand. Some of them don't end up looking much like bikes.
Does anyone have a link to the story, or the book or the guy?
