First time listener, first time caller.
Just thought I would introduce myself. I'm 24 years old and I decided this past weekend that I needed a hobby. I like the woods, I like the outdoors and I find that I'm not as active as I used to be. I'm still in good shape it's just declining steadily.
I found a barely used 02 Gary Fisher Tassajara on craigslist for $250. Perfect size. Very comfortable (genesis geometry?). I've done a little bit of mountain biking in the past. I did a lot of biking when I was younger, before I was able to drive, mostly BMX and street riding as a method of transportation. None of my bikes were ever any good. Used (beaten) or Huffy's.
I'm anxious to get out there and this forum was a great help when I went to look at the bike last night.
I'm no stranger to internet forums. I know to search first, ask second. I am a heavy participant in my truck forum (2000+ posts). Just new to the sport and new here.
