If this is the first time you are reading this, there are a few of things you should know:
1) There are two jersey orders going on right now. This one (which was originally Option #3) is pictured in this post below. The other (orginially Option #2) can be found in another thread in the So Cal forum. The major difference is that this version has red sleeves while the other has black sleeves. Their both pretty darn sexy :)
2) As of Sept 23, we are 1-2 weeks away from placing the order. We submitted our artwork and sent a deposit. As soon as they return the proof, we will finalize all quantities, sizes, etc. and pull the trigger.
3) Yes, there is still time to order...keep reading
$45 - Jersey cost
$2 - shipping from company
$4.50 - to cover cost of jerseys for Joe and James (depends on # of orders...may be a little higher, may be a little lower) NOTE: This is NOT required but it's a nice thing to do for all their hard work. If you don't want to donate, or cannot afford to...it's no big deal.
OPTIONAL $5 - if you need it shipped to your door priority mail.
OPTIONAL $2.50 - if you are going to be paying through paypal
Ideally, we could all meet up for a couple of group rides and the jerseys can be distributed that way. If you can never make a group ride, you should opt for the shipping. If you will be paying through paypal, add the $2.50 for the fees. You can also send check or money order to me.
- Count and size of jersey (http://www.customcyclewear.com/sizechart.htm for sizing)
- Full Zipper, Half Zipper, 3/4 Zipper?
- Club, womens, or race cut?
http://three91.com/bfSoCal/kit/ssJersey/ssJersey_k-r-r.gif
If jersey #3 gets produced, I want one of these too. Small, full zipper, race cut.
My buddy and I each want one
Large -Club cut - 3/4 zipper
XL - Club Cut - 3/4 zipper
I will pay for both and have them ship together to make it easier on you!
thanks cjbruin!

I would rather have #3 than #2, so if it's being made, I'll get one.
Medium, Race Cut, Full Zip, Qty=1

I'd go for one of these as well: XL, 3/4 zip, club ("burrito") cut. Short sleeve.
Maybe next summer I'll be fit enough for race cut....
thanks for dealing with this CJ!

XS, race cut, full zip
Thanks!
Ok, trouble-maker!
I like #3 better than #2 so I'd probably switch! Medium, gawd knows which cut 'cause I still haven't figure this out!

Does anyone know how Champion jerserys fit compared to Voler? I wear a Large in Voler's race cut or a Medium in their club cut. Can I expect a similar fit with Champion?

There's a link to champion's sizing chart somewhere in the other thread (for ordering jersey #2).

Guys,
if you are going to go with #3 and cancel #2, you need to let me know by email. I can't match you up from your email and your post here. If you are teetering on the edge and requested #2 already, I encourage you to not switch or order both, because we are still pretty low on the count, and it is a logistical nightmare to make sure people are canceled, etc.
Thanks!

I definitely agree. Please do not expect Paul to figure out what you are doing...if you sent him an e-mail stating that you wanted to order #2, please stick by it or tell him that you no longer want it.
We do NOT want to screw up the orders for #2.

I'm sorry that you are having to now deal with people cancelling orders. It might have been nice for them to wait until your orders were taken/paid for before starting this thread, but eh...what can you do. Are we going to have enough people to order #2 now?

We should be fine. We can always bribe.

I think we'll be okay, we have about 15 jersey orders right now...

My order for #2 is unchanged by my order for #3. I'm getting both. I'm sure we'll easily get to the minimum on jersey #2....

All, I highly doubt that ordering of #3 will result in too few orders for #2 (I thought about that before starting this thread). I personally ordered two #2's plus there are a lot of people who want both.
This really shouldn't be a big deal.

EDIT: I just ordered an additional #2 for Melissa. So we're getting three twos, thus ruining the alliteration. I'm also getting one #3.
I ordered two twos too. (say that fast!)

Count me in as well!
Race cut, 1/2 zipper please.. But I am not sure on the size.. By their chart, I am in between a L and XL.
If we are not able to get samples (to try on), please just put me down for a large.
Thanks!! :)
OK, you guys are confusing me. (Yes, I know it's not that hard. :p )
In the original voting thread, I voted for #3 but I have always said that I would go with the final choice of the majority. I know that we had a plurality with #2 but I also thought that most everyone could live with that choice.
Having not seen this thread until just now, I had also volunteered to help with the jersey distribution on the worker4youth thread.
So is worker4youth placing an order in parallel to cjbruin? Are we really going to have 2 (albeit slightly) different jerseys for the SoCal BF crew? (So many more questions with no answers from me. :) )
Help Mister Wizard!
BTW, if #3 really is going to happen, I will change my order (by e-mail to worker4youth) from #2 to #3.
Edit: OK, e-mail send to worker4youth canceling order for design #2. I will be ordering design #3, small, race cut, 3/4 zipper.

Cleave, let me try to sum it up. I felt very strongly that people should be able to order the jersey that they really wanted...especially since the vote did not result in an actual majority...
#1 - 3 (6.2%)
#2 - 19 (39.6%)
#3 - 17 (35.4%)
#4 - 9 (18.8%)
Jersey #2 (which by the way is the one I voted for...and am purchasing) was not really the clear favorite. Maybe if the 12 people who voted for #1 & #4 were given a choice between #2 & #3, the vote would have gone the other way.
I'm just somone who thinks that people should be able to choose what they want. James is happy to provide the artwork for both jerseys and as a result, I think more people will order jerseys than if we only had one choice...and people won't need to settle for something they didn't like as much.
I know this isn't popular with some people but in the end, I honestly believe it's the right thing to do. Both styles look really great. So yes, this order is in parallel to the order that worker4youth is doing...he's taking care of #2 and I'm doing #3.
If you could edit your post with size, zipper, & cut info...that would be great.
By the way, with you and OC Roadie, we are up to 15 orders!

That Jersey is sweet! Would it ruin the "effect" if another midwestern roadie picked one up? Later.

One # 3 for me too please:
Large, Race Cut, 3/4 zipper.
Thanks.
All right...I changed officially to #3!
Here is the hang...I still don't get the difference in the cuts!
I've got several jerseys I purchased at events...are they race or club cut? Cool Breeze, Cruising the Conejo (both I believe come from Voler).
I'm 5'9, about 154. All jerseys are Medium so that part I think I got!

May want to double check their sizing chart. I don't know about you, but based on the champion sizing chart I needed to get an XS, whereas all my other US sizing jerseys are S.

I'll take a large race cut 3/4 zip!

We'll probably start collecting money next week. I'll cover you if we place the order while you're gone...I know you're good for it.

TODAY'S UPDATE - 18 Commitments for Jersey #3 (see attached image for details).
Some more good news is that this number brings us to $5 per person rather than $6 in order to get James & Joe free jerseys.

TODAY'S UPDATE - 20 Commitments for Jersey #3 (see attached image for details).
I called the company today to get a more accurate shipping cost and learned that it should be approximately 4% of the order. That makes it $1.80 instead of $1...if it turns out to be less, I'll make sure to refund the difference to everyone.
With 20 orders, each person's share of James' & Joe's jerseys is down to $4.50.
James is out of town until Monday so I'll go ahead and take requests through the weekend and then we'll see what we can do to get the order going!
