I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a Peter White Cycles order that includes a Shimano Dyno Hub, generator tail light, two front lights (one with capcitor, one not), and some Hakalaka...whatevers.
Question is fit with fenders. I have 38mm tires currently, which fit the SKS fenders with about 1/4" clearance. If I put the 35mm + studs on there, does anyone know if they'll still fit OK?

I don't know.
I will say that the Nokian studs only stick out about 2mm from the tread.

That'll work. I figure I'm losing about that in overall tire profile, so they should clear the fenders just fine then.

The Hakka's are a really big 35mm tire (Tall).
Saying that, I ran some fast freddies last winter without issue.
I run the 35 mm Hakkapillita W-106 in the winter and 40mm Schwalbe Marathon Plus in the winter. No fender clearance issues. Not sure which fenders I have, they came with the bike.

Peter White posts tire sizing information on his website. I would suggest you check them, remove your front tire and measure whatever clearance you have.
You say that you have 38 mm tires right now. But do they truly measure 38 mm? That's the real question.
