I came into ownership of a really nice raleigh road bike. I have no information on it, and was wondering if anyone could help me. It's racing green, Reynolds 531 frame, 12 speed. Has "Raleigh USA" and "Grand Prix" on the main frame piece. Serial number is 5JN0464 with an M underneath it. If anyone knows ANYTHING about this, I appreciate the input. Thanks!

your best bet to get any information is to go to their website at www.raleighbike.com

You know I did try that.... yet I can't find any info on past bikes. A serial number search would really help, but I can't find that either

You might try contacting Raleigh. They probably have a customer service numer you can call. My uncle called Trek about a serial number and it worked.

The serial Number 5JNO464, its probably built in 1964 the number 64 on the last two probably indicate that it must have been built in 1964, now if the bike component is Campy, you might be holding a gold mine, because I have read I can't remember the article that campagnolo is interested in buying back bike equipped with campy groupo, so I would suggest that you just hold on to the bike and don't try to upgrade any part of your bike that will alter the appearance of a 1964 road bike, again you might be holding a gold mine....

The components are actually Shimano, so definitely not campy, brakes are dia-compe, wheels are ukai if that helps at all. should I just take it down to my LBS and get some info that way?
