JensonUSA has Salsa Bar Tape:
http://www.jensonusa.com/store/sub/136-Grips++Bar+Tape.aspx?s=1174
I got some Cinelli bar tape last night when i dropped by... I figure i'll probably need it since there's a chance i'll botch the current tape on my CX bike when i do the brake swap... :(

What do you mean the float is in the heel?
only the back side of the shoe moves, but like I said, the cleats moved and I don't know if it did right when I got on the bike or during the ride. I'll know more after my lunch ride today. I just expected the roadie cleats/pedals to be tigher......

Knee problems are more typically associated with too little float vs too much, althought YMMV. Don't know what the Wellgos are supposed to be, but Shimano. Time, etc road pedals have different cleats for fixed vs. float. I just when from MTB style SPD pedals to SPD-SL. There is a little less float (6%) although my old MTB pedals were getting sloppy.

I think my SPDs had way too much slop in them. Hoping that this helps, I can feel the difference with the CF sole.

Wrapping bar tape is pretty easy. Here's what I did the first time I wrapped bar tape. Unwrapped the old bar tape starting near the stem. Observed how the bar tape was wrapped. Reversed the process with the new tape. I found that the hardest part to intuit is that you have to keep the bar tape nicely stretched in order for it to look and feel nice and even. Oh, and making the bend from the drops to the tops took me a few attempts to get just right.
cool. I will give it a whirl.
cool. I will give it a whirl.
I did my first wrap last night...piece of cake...you will have no problem at all!
That hardest part is cleaning all the sticky stuff (if there is any)from the old tape off ...you dont want it lumpy!!

A heat gun works well for this, if they're CF bars, you want to use the lowest setting and not heat them up too much, the old adhesive rolls right off. I use that trick for getting adhesive off of my CF sew-ups.

Definitely.... should have put that in my last post....thanks
Just used that to get some old foam tape that was glued to some bars off....yuck..still messy tho...but it worked!

Well i haven't heard from Blackburn yet, but i found this:
http://biketiresdirect.com/productdetail.asp?p=TPMRM&tnum=5641679&c=7517865
Looks like it could work well on the seat tube even, and it's better than zip ties on the top tube.

And seeing as I ahve a $25 Amazon gift cert, I'm thinkin'....
There appears to be a "road morph", and a "road morph G". Is there a difference?

DAMN! on the first saturday of each month the company I work for has a ride at whiting ranch. My coworker Eric and I missed the first outing this past week... A: I didn't have a bike and B: we missed a flight and had to spend friday night in Atlanta, GA... we meet up at our BDOC = Box Depot of California (50 Icon foothill ranch, CA) across the street from Oakley. Unfortunately only three people showed up that day.... but next time it'll be more.

I didn't think that you could buy it without the gauge... Also, it is bulky and heavy enough to make me want to have the gauge since it is only a little heavier, and a great feature!

group rides are fun in the. I like seeing all the different skill levels and watch people become better on the trails:D I have about 11 people here at work that ride, so when it gets warmer we usually do after work rides, every Wednesday on the MTBs.

ME, I've been considering the same pump.
As was mentioned in an earlier thread, does one lose a water bottle to install the pump?
Sorry, Drew, I just now peeked back in here. I imagine someone has already answered your question, but I'll add my two cents. NO, you will not lose a water bottle. I have two cages and the pump on, but I did have to have the shop adjust the position as my pedals were scrapping the pump lever! Now, it's perfect and I love it.

No, I'm probably doing the 8am Montrose winter ride (slower group). Ride takes off from So. Pasadena Trader Joe's (Mission & Grand) towards San Dimas and loops back and ends in Sierra Madre.....exactly 50 miles by the time you get back to the starting point at Trader Joe's in So Pas. Care to join us? :D

Just fyi, I recieved this e-mail from the PI factory store in GA (they will do mailorder, although I'll bet the SD outlet has similar deals).
Hello Pearl Izumi enthusiasts! I don’t normally mail everyone out like this, but we have had some huge markdowns in the store recently and I wanted to get the word out.
Insane deal #1: Pearl Original Wheaties Jerseys on sale for $19.99!!! (original retail price: $74.99). We have TONS of Sm, Med, Lrg, and XL! Riding an event as a team this year? Save some dough and be a champion in the Wheaties Jersey! Plus, if you buy the jersey, you can get the matching socks for $2.99!
Insane deal #2: We just marked down our complete stock of cycling shoes from the 2005 season (these prices apply to 2005 shoes only. There are 2006 versions of these as well but they are not at the following prices. We have the following shoes in selected sizes available:
· W’s and M’s Vortex II Mountain or Road – Originally $99.99, Now: $49.99
· W’s Flow Mountain and M’s Flow Mountain or Road – Originally $149.99, Now: $74.99
· M’s Juice Road – Originally $134.99, Now: $67.50
· Viper Carbon Fiber Road Shoes - $199.99, Now: $99.99
Insane deal #3: Having something shipped to you? Add some socks! All of our previously marked down Pearl Original Socks are currently 3 pairs for $15! This includes Wheaties, Bert and Ernie, Disco Ball, Rocket Girl (women’s size L only), General Lee, American Flag, Superman, German Flag, Japanese Flag, Italian Flag, Flames, and Pink Camo, and more. Not a colorful person? All of our Closeout Attack Socks and Ankle Attack Socks are still 4 for $15, but sizes are going fast!
Also, of interest, in January a number of our cycling shorts were marked down 25% - including Aerosensors, Microsensors, Ultrasensors, and Attack. If you wear a size med or large and will need shorts this year, buy them soon because I don’t know how long they will last.
Remember, we ship UPS so give us a ring to do a phone order or contact us via email if you are interested in any of these items. Happy riding everyone!

Just ordered a set of 32 spoke Velocity Deep-V wheels with Ultegra hubs from www.spinlitecycling.com (http://www.spinlitecycling.com). I b0rk3d my rear wheel on my commuting wheelset (Xero XSR-3 i think) jumping over a drainage gutter. There was a grate over the gutter, but the slots were long and just wide enough to eat my rear wheel (i jumped the front over). So no riding to work until the new wheels come in unfortunately...
At least i'll be able to use them for cyclocross in addition to commuting. :D
