Did you get Fergie's new song?? :D

Never seen the Nike arm warmers...

Just got the PI therma fleeces for $19.99 at performance last week. There were two different prices on the shelf tags, though, $19.99 and $23.99. I told them that, and they gave them to me at the lower price.

I have the PI ones and I really like them. :)

Searching high and low for a place that carries Nike arm warmers, to no avail. Not about to spring for them on their website for $38 shipped. Incycle in San Dimas had just got their Specialized ones in (brand-match for my bike), but only in M or XL, and I'd like a large. The other two Incycle stores don't have any at all. So I'll head over to Performance later on today and pick up a set of PI Therma Fleece's . . . unless any of you have any better suggestions . . .'05 Nike Discovery arm warmers for $10. http://treksandiego.com/itemdetails.cfm?catalogId=39&id=1282

recently got an Electra Townie for my gf... her first bike! She learned how to ride test riding bikes at bikeshops!

Im looking for a cheap get-around-town bike for myself. been looking at craigslist, but prices seems to be inflated. I asked this guy regarding a 2002 OCR3 he was selling, he sold it for $480. New ones go for $550. WTF.

I just got one of these yesterday. :D I got tired of my blackburn airstik which just was a PITA to use (bent a presta valve when fixing a flat the other day and nearly broke the entire thing off). To install the pump i really didn't want to use the bracket that came with it since it meant having to lose a water bottle cage or strapping it to the top tube with oversized zip ties. However, it did fit perfectly on the Airstik bracket that i already had mounted to the seatpost tube (with the water bottle cage) despite the Road Morph being abit longer. :) I'll take the extra weight if it means being able to pump up tires easier.

Additionally, i also picked up another can of White Lightning Clean Streak. That stuff really strips all the crap off the chain and rear derailer. :D (i already have the trigger chain cleaner attachment, i just needed a new can of the stuff)

Does it have a gauge? I'm actually going to replace the one I lost on a ride over a month ago, but want one that allows me to see how much air I'm pumping in.

You can get one with a guage. Sure, at about 260g, it's a bit heavy, but it works great. I have one on my bike.

I hope you like it..just make sure they will take it back if you dont....I had a Specialized Alias...my buddy loves his...but I thought I was sitting on cement, and could not get used to having to hit the padded areas just right with the sitbones..but I know lots of people love them....I hope this works for you!

Quick post:

After only five miles, sit bones were a bit achy. I only had a chance to ride seven as I have to go pick up Tara. Think the sit-bone ache was because my other saddle was way too narrow and they were never supported before or is this strike one?

It usually takes a few rides for the sit bones to get comfy, atleast that how it was for me on my Alias.

It will take a little time to adjust, but there shouldn't be any actual pain. I think you're right about your sit-bones actually being supported. Your butt will get used to it. You may also want to try shorts with a different chamois. As long as you aren't getting numbess and don't end up with pain, your saddle is doing its job.

Louis Garneau lid (comfy, heavily vented in the front, the ride test will appear later)

I used my new helmet all weekend and found it quite comfortable. It is the Louis Garneau OZ-zy (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=22249&subcategory_ID=4210) Helmet. There are two little rubber pads near the SpiderLock 2 retention system that grip like a vice (very good description from the website, so I plajiarized). I actually had to loosen the retention strap because I was getting a headache. Once that minor adjustment was made I found out what a joy a good helmet with lots of airflow is to wear. Previously I had worn the Bell Alchera and routinely put on a HeadSweats bandana because I was sweating alot. I wore the new helmet without the bandana to test this and found that my head did not sweat very much at all.

There are not many pads inside the helmet and no replacements like the Bell had, but it did come with a cool helmet bag.... that is a PITA to use, so it is effectively worthless.

Overall opinion - VERY GOOD and worth the $90 bucks.

I have the Road Morph (full size) and love it and gladly surrendered one bottle cage.
I also have the Mountain Morph on the Mtn bike (duh!) and like the fact that if one ever dies that the other one will fit right onto the bike.

BTW: I have had the Mountain for almost 3 years with no problems.

Did the lbs measure with the butt-o-meter? Specialized has this foam thing you sit on to measure and show which size to get...that is important!

Considering I have an entry-level bike, and wear running shorts over padded cycling boxers, I would say I'm pretty darn low, if not negative, on the OCP meter, so a few more docked points wouldn't kill me now.

I'm leaning towards the black to be more steath - wonder if a white lid would stand out too much
