Ok... Here's the dilema i'm facing right now...

http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?sku=23326

Diadora Ergo Plus MTB shoes (2006 model). Should i buy them or not? For about ~$62 shipped, it's a freakin' good deal. But i just bought a headlamp for my commuter bike, aerobars, and a time trial helmet this month. I do have MTB shoes for commuting already but they're not all that comfortable (Adidas Durango which i bought on sale for about the same price).

Yargh...

[maybe i should finally get around to selling the extra car parts laying around in the garage...]

I haven't ordered yet only because they don't have the black ones in size 44... Otherwise i would have pulled the trigger this morning when i found it.

Dangit, the road version is on sale too... :o :(

I'm really wanting some shoes that have the ratcheting strap.

I have a paid of SIDI dominators. Good shoes, 2 years old and still strong.
The thing is my feet get numb in them, and it might just be their too
stretched.
I see they also have the mtb race version....
And I have a new set of cleats to install ...
So, hhmmmm... Damn...

No hands on the "beanz watch".
My guess is the eyes tweek and point to the hour/minute.

We'll call it the "Black eyed Beanz" watch.

Hey Drew. Haven't you seen the new thing in watches? You can't see them in this pic, but there are balls that travel around the circumference of the face that designate the time. Just don't ask where the balls came from!:D

So can someone talk front derailleurs for me? And keep in mind who you're talking to ;)

Mine is bottom of the line and...*ahem* slightly bent. As long as I'm replacing it, I might as well upgrade a bit, but I am so clueless.

Biscuit, are you currently running Shimano? Do you have a compact crank (50/34, for example) or traditional crank (53/39)? An ultegra front derailleur will only run you about $50, plus small labor charge (unless you can sweet talk one of your riding buds into doing it... fairly easy job).

It tells us everything! Thanks... I'll let the Shimano experts chime in from here... but you are in for a very painless upgrade.

Will 10-spd FD be too narrow? The C'dale site shows an 8-spd spec. Googling shows a 9-spd FD to be ok based on user experience.

I have a Tiagra Triple FD that you can have for the price of the shipping. It originally came on Rose's bike but I had them replace it before we left the shop.

My unsolicited advice to Biscuit would be to take it. My Allez runs a Tiagra triple FD, and as long as it's tuned properly (true even if you go DuraAce) it shifts great.

The dude at the bike shop said it was actually my shifter and the fact that my shifter cables were not routed properly. So, we'll see how she rides now.

I haven't posted about it yet. ;) Just started last Thursday.
Nothing special.... typical office environment. Accounting Mgr. for a security systems company. Have gotten a good vibe so far from the people there. Pretty laid back and good, fun attitudes. First full-time job in six years!

Need some time to get in to the groove... working out a new routine and figuring out how to fit in family/riding/gym time. I'm feeling a little out of sorts right now but everything will settle soon. :)
