Yeah, my garage door sucks also, so I have to find a good one for mine.

That looks like one nice ride. Makes me want to go and wash my bike...naw.:D

so far it is... doesn't have a lot of mileage on it yet :p but I'll be adding a little bit between now and Monday ;) And, I did wash the Roubaix today too... they both look pretty sweet :D

Picked up a new pair of shoes...
Specialized Comp Mtb, and some socks....
These are for use on the Road bike, they are very stiff, and I can walk in them too!!
The cat seems to like them as much as I do!!

And I'm keeping the super-fred chainguard on there for now.

Opted for the K-Wing instead of the Compact Wing Pros.

Question... Should I leave the tops wrapped or unwrapped?

I kinda would like to leave it unwrapped, but...

Pros -
Easy to clean, since I'm using white bar tape on the drops and have the drinking hand/eye coordination of a 1-year-old. I can foresee pink and orange spots appearing very quickly.
Looks cool.

Cons -
Less comfortable

Go with comfort and wrap it. If you're going use white bar tape, you're gonna be getting the rest dirty anyway. So either it's all going to get dirty or you're going to clean it anyway.

Well, I guess it also depends on how much overlap you prefer in your wrapping. You might not have long enough bar tape to actually wrap the whole thing.

I was thinking the same thing...try it all the way and see...you can always get it redone...

I have those bars, they are absolutely terrific. I happened to ride a bike yesterday for a bit with traditional bars and I am so glad I have the K-Wings.

As far as wrap or not, with the Campy cables tucked so neatly at the back side of the bars and tape covering it, it is nice clean look. It won't provide that much in comfort as it is a wide flat spot on the bar enabling the shocks to be distributed over a wider area. But the look is so nice. You don't sweat so it won't discolor that quickly. (your drink splashes clean easily). If if does get out of hand, next time leave 'em bare.

I have these bars and have them unwrapped. I had them wrapped at first and then unwrapped them. Much Better look and the feel is not much different. I love these bars and would not go back to the standard style bars.

I understand that they are great frames and it's always good to have something you don't see every day.

stock kilo tt 57cm....added a front brake and removed the plastic toe clips since i was successful only once getting both feet into them while pedaling. i'll be getting some steel mks clips very soon.

the down tube is actually tear drop shaped which is kinda different. the seat isn't uncomfortable whilst wearing my new endura knickers even without the removeable padded lycra shorts.

i'll be changing it significantly soon with a different color scheme on the wheels, tires, bars, tape and a new saddle. also adding a clamp-on bottle cage. flip/flop hub so i'll put a singlespeed cog on the other side and change the 16 to something i can spin faster since it is hilly here.

a couple of rides up and down the alley then once around the block. LOVE IT. :D

Very nice. As for the pedals, clips are the toughest on fixed. You get about a microsecond each revolution to flip and insert. You will get the hang of it soon enough. I use SPDs on my fixed and they are much simpler.

i knew it would take practice but the plastic had to go anyway. i'll have 2 sets of pedals, one for when i'm cruising around the beach cities and then clipless for serious riding.

heres one from the iro site. obviously it doesnt have the components i ordered. http://www.irofixedgear.com/ProductImages/mark_v_LRG.jpg it was either this or one of those "gang green" pistas, but since i am of taller stature i went with the larger frame. i think the pistas only go up to 59 or 60cm.
