for me: cute mountain bike capri pants and 2 red polar bottles (to replace the STINKIE white ones!) oh and 5 new pair of cycling socks....
for hubby: 2 mountain bike oufits (2 shorts and 2 shirts) and new mountain bike tires and tubes\
my next purchase: a 2007 ruby s-works! bwah ha ha ha ha (a gurl can dream!)
It will be later this week when I drop another wad of cash.... I'll keep you posted.
I bought a Continental Gatorskin, a Race Light tube, a 16g threaded cartridge and a Park tire boot to replace the stuff I used Sunday after hitting a rock.

Just ordered a pair of Sidi Genius Megas and a set of Ritchey Pro Peloton pedals.
Finally making the leap from SPD's to 'real' road pedals! I can put the old pedals back on my mountain bike and not have to wear the old Nike Katos that have been wreaking havoc on my toes during long road rides.... Woo Hoo!!
My last purchase? Two Michelin Pro2 Race tires (red) to test head to head against the Specialized Mondo S-Works tires (black) that I recently got. (Winner goes on my new wheelset. Loser goes on my backup wheelset. Probably keeping my Ksyrium Equipes as backups and giving my dad the Easton Circuits.) Two short valve Specialized tubes for my new wheels. Two long valve Specialized tubes. (Don't want to carry short valve tubes as spares because a) they aren't long enough on my other wheelset and b) someone else might need the tube.) Extra wheel magnet so that I don't have to move the magnets around.
My next purchase? A valve extender. I like how the shorter valves look on my wheelset, but I can't pump them up with my floor pump. Argh. Happily, I can pump them up with my Topeak Road Morph in the meantime.

A new brake cable and bearings for my Ksyrium SL's. I know that's pretty boring:p I'm sure it won't be long before there's something much more exciting. I did get some Reynolds DV carbon fiber tubulars not long ago:D that's much more worthy of mentioning;)

Can I post deals on here too?
Amazon has the 2006 Bell Sweep R helmet on sale (black/titanium or white only) for only $75! That's the lowest I've seen it ever.
I wish they had the red/black on sale..would match so well with my new BF jersey :)

My prediction is that Brandy will be so antsy off the bike that she'll redouble her efforts to find herself a fixie, and she'll end up the next one with a new bike.

12-27 for the baldy assault. got me to the lifts, but a compact or a triple would have gotten me there quicker (but not cheaper)
I invoked the meander gear to get more out of my 39-27 combo. weaving back and forth on that last 15% pitch brought my cadence up to 50 from a low of 38. I think a compact with my 12-25 would have gotten me in the 55-60 range.
anyone bought an a/c unit for their road bike yet? ;-)

I talked a BikeForums member (who contacted me about it via e-mail) into buying a Cervelo R3, and he just e-mailed to let me know that he made his order last night. Does that count?

I bought some Bontrager bar end plugs that I can't install because my awesome handlebar wrap job is just too awesome. I don't want to redo it and the wrap is still in great shape, so I'll just have to wait another year to put them on. Oh...and I bought another pair of the same glasses I've been using forever.

Darn, If I woulda known! I thought we were way behind everybody. I prolly would have rode with you if I knew there was someone else back there. I thought everybody would be gone by the time we got there, or the riders would be heading back. Sounds like they were there for a while though!
Gina was only ahead cause she cheated and took an hour headstart. She waited at the shack for me. I was planning on a 10-15 minute wait, but she was there 30 minutes before me. I must be getting old.

Random stuff I picked up from the nearby Performance store:
Sleeveless jersey
Joe Blow Sport floor pump
And great link to the Bell Sweep R helmet - I've been watching that helmet on Ebay as I've been wearing my mtn bike sans visor since I'm a newbie, but I just might pull the trigger on that Amazon one!

Who's going to be the next person to buy a new bike (or frame)?
Me. Well, sort of. I'm in the process of converting a 1980s Torelli road bike I've had in the garage for a while to a FIXIE!
So, new wheel, hub, etc., basically resulting in a new bike. Should be ready to roll next week. I'd post pictures, but after seeing the shockingly awesome fixies here on BF, I'm a bit reluctant.
I'm hoping this bit of insanity will make me into a stronger rider.

Park BB tool and pin spanner so i could regrease my BB.
things i want(but don't really need): 07 Campy Chorus CT cranks
07 Record brake calipers
I put this together this weekend. My fork probably weighs more than most of your bikes.

This week:
Giordano Tenax bibs and a random s/s jersey from Bicyclebuys.com (good price on the Giordanos I thought).
Performance grand opening in Pasadena -- stocked up on some GU gels (2 for 1).
Ebay: another s/s jersey
Just received new Ritchey WCS Classic Road Bars and Ritchey Pro Road Stems for both of my Looks. Rode with ITM anatomic bars for three years and decided that I prefer classic "round" bars to anatomic. Will change out the bars and re-tape during my "time-out." :)

I just ordered a BIG can of Cytomax. My first one. Smart to buy a HUGE one before trying it, huh?
I got the tropical punch flavor, or something like that. I can't stand my Clif powder anymore (apple flavor, they say). I bought it primarily because the label says "with caffeine."

I'd like to amend the above. One of the damned Ritchey pedals came OFF THE SPINDLE while I was riding last night!!
Back to Performance they went. The guys at the store were staring in disbelief as I casually pulled the platform off the spindle. They were decent about taking a web-bought item back at the store.
So I'll update my purchase by changing the pedals to some Look Keo Sprints from pro bike kit. Plus some extra cleats w/ covers, while I was at it. I hope other's good luck ordering from overseas carries over to my order!
New gear lust and the waiting to get them shipped.... what a feeling!

I'll most likely have another new toy to post this evening. I'm heading over to the new Performance in Pasadena to return my new floor pump before heading over to the Rose Bowl. I'll find something else to buy with the refunded money...:D
