Okay, I was going for my first century yesterday, and I hit the wall. What are some good energy products that I can use during the ride and that are easy to fit in jersey pockets?

GU, PowerBar, Fruit, Energy/recovery drink in a H2O bottle and there are others but that should give you some idea of what you can carry.

Speaking of this.. what supplement drinks does everyone prefer to drink during your rides? Gatorade, Cyclomax, etc?! Up till now I have only been drinking water. Now that I am going on much longer rides, I think I should step it up a bit.

You probably "hit the wall" because you were lacking carbohydrates. During your ride, be sure to keep replenishing your body with carbs. You can go with some of the products that dirtbikedude mentioned, but there are natural ways to go, too. You can carry fig bars, cookies, a bagel, or some fruit just to name a few.

Last weekend I did my Death Valley 100 miler... Did ok. But felt pretty weak last three miles when I biked up a 1200 ft.climb, just before lunch.. Did pretty poorly at breakfast.. Nothing open at starting line at 6 am..When left hotel had cytomax, banana, and power bar and nothing until after first climb's 20 mile stop.. There ate a couple of power bars and power gels and power drink..
Enough breakfast yet? Driving to Death Valley only about 4.5 hours sleep before ride.. Had wanted a real breakfast before ride. Nothing open at Death Valley.
So, we had about 35 miles to next stop and lunch.. Last three miles of 1200 ft. climb in SLEET, I felt really spent.. Had a power gel to get to lunch during this last climb.. I have never felt so spent.. Walked last 100 feet of the climb to lunch.. After lunch I felt ok- after the bad weather went away.. So all these factors.
Closest I ever came to the bonk.. Does not feel good. After a good lunch got home fine..
