I don't know how I feel about their fork crowns, but I still think they're a sweet ride.

thanks guys! i am super excited about this bike. it's my first 29er... i don't think i'll be riding a 26" ever again.

josh, i hope to ride rampart resevoir this weekend. or sucker someone to drop me off at the top of pipeline! i have a need to bleed from speed. i'll at least ride up the chutes and buckhorn and bearcreek and then down captain jack's if i don't feel like getting a combustible engine involved.

dustinlikewhat,
i love the fork crowns. it's one of my favorite parts of the bike. i love how the design is integrated with the seat stays.

visitordesign,
i don't have any shots of the seatstays... i could take some for you when i get off of work.

i could show off my handy work i had to do with my grinder and wire wheel to the removeable brake bosses. those dummies made the aluminum brackets waaay too clunky and big, so my brakes couldn't open wide enough to get the inflated tires in. another gripe i have is the stupid cable guides... i want cable stops, not hydro guides... so i had to run housing the whole way to my rear brake. there's a touch of drag because of it... ugh. i plan to braze some on before i repaint it. i HATE white bikes. and white people... i mean... um... crap.

The only thing I would change is adding some Avid BB7's instead of rim brakes. Tight.

what grips are those?

i considered discs... but i already had the non-disc sun ringlé solo hubs laying around and the brakes off my 26". the brakes i'm running are the avid ultimates. they're just as powerful as a mechanical disc brake, if not more, and way lighter... these brakes are absolutely amazing.

the grips are esi's. they're awesome.

full housing is the *****...

mountain bikes (and the cables on them) get real dirty if used properly! when you don't have to redo your rearbrake cable after every couple months in sloppy weather i think that design will grow on you.

oh and fianally disks are for wimps ;) if you don't live in the rockies (or some serious mountains) rim brakes will do ya just fine everytime. ESPECIALLY AVID ULTIMATES! nice freakin brakes.
