Hi,
I have these real short legs. Oddly enough, I need a seatpost with a lot of setback to get comfy. On my new bike, the first seatpost I tried
had a LOT of setback; but it wasn't enough to get my knees directly over the pedals. So we ordered
up my second RaceFace XYZ seatpost. If you have short legs, and you can't to get a perfect fit, you might want to try one. I got two now. We're not talking subtle either; it's a definite Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

Hey late!! I've got the opposite problem, legs long, torso short. I can't get too large a frame size though a 58cm size bike won't be too much for my legs. The problem is the reach, though my arms are long as well, it is rather difficult to reach the handlebars. I'm still trying to work that out, finding the perfect fit and stuff.

Is it really such a big disadvantage to have your body proportions all out of the way? It doesn't seem to help especially when you're looking for convinience.

It's good for you that you've sort of fixed the problem. Happy riding!!

You guys with odd sized legs for your body may want to match your cranks to your leg size. The ones which come with the bike are usually standard medium size for every size of frame. The big manufacturers sometimes make 165 to 175, but for a wider range , check out Specialities-TA.

Watch out, when putting longer cranks on, that you dont have interference with the front wheel, and your cornering clearance will be reduced.

I second the crank length suggestion. Not something you need to drop everything and take care of right now,but next time you're upgrading your bike or something, I would definetly look into it.
