Where is a source for braze on shifter lugs. I am doing utility/commutter bike project, using an old nishiki steel frame. I may end up keepiing down tube shifter (single rear drailler) but want to go indexed, so I may have to end up fabricating a clamp with braze on shifter lugs.
thanks

Nova and Henry James have them also But they both are high on shipping for small order amounts.
http://www.bikemannetwork.com/biking/c/COMPFRM has a few building supplies as well.

This is a timely thread for me. I was just looking to add some braze-on downtube shifter bosses.
Two questions:
1.) Are the bosses Campy/Shimano specific? I had a pair of bosses that came with a set of Suntour Cyclone shifters, but I misplaced one of them.
2.) Will 56% silver have adequate strength? I'm used to working with silver in smaller apps (jewelry) but not on steel.

1) one size fits all
2) 56% silver works fine

Thanks Potus and Velonomad!
I've just been looking at some of Velonomad's handicraft. Very inspirational.
