Hi, been on the forums for a while and figured i really should introduce myself. upstate south carolinian here. beautiful spartanburg to be more precise. like road bikin mostly and commute when i can, but i usually get outta work after dark, so i'm too chicken to attempt ridin at nite around here. too many drunken hillbilly cell phone gabbin cagers, i guess. i try to mountain bike occasionally, but i'm not very good at that.

anyway, if anyone in this area wants to get some miles in, just send me a line!

Tappets,
Keep them drunken hillbillies over in your county willya!:D I am right down the road from you (temporarily) in Greenville. I stay out near the I-85 corridor in the Pelham Rd area. I agree riding around here in the evening is a gamble ( I think I would get better odds in Vegas:p )

Aaron:)

well, you got the coast and you got your neighbor in G'ville, here's a shout from the middle - Northeast Columbia.

Glad to see more from SC on here.

I'm mostly MTB, but hoping to drop enough subtle and not so subtle hints that I'll become a roadie after Christmas. :p

I'm hoping next summer will bring me my first century, but I'll see how it goes.

Let me know if you're heading this way for any riding - but not on a football Saturday.:D

Hey DieselDan, mind if i look you up next time i'm visiting family in the hilton head area? maybe you could recommend some routes for me in that area?

hey taco, watch out for the football tailgaters now that it's f'ball season. they're prolly way worse than the bud lite 24 pack-a-day hillbillies up here.

Welcome. I live in Gville and work in Spartanburg. Ride in both areas. You should show up for some of the Freewheeler's rides.

I actually rode from N Greenville College to Saluda and back on Sunday morning. I live 5 miles from Paris, so I tend to save it for quickie rides. I will probably show up to it some time in the fall though. I checked out the route that they planned for it, and it is pretty good.

N. Greenville Campus to Saluda is one of my favorite rides. Hit that whenever I can. It's awesome up there!
