Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm not far from where you are (Queen Annes county, MD).
w00t Delaware here. I just signed up to these forums ^^
Just signed up also. North Wilmington here!!
Are there any clubs that ride in DE? Road or MTB, I'm not picky, but I just moved to the area and would be cool to meet some fellow cyclists in the area

lpw71, I'm from North Wilmington, too. If you are looking to ride either Road or MTB, I'm game. There are some clubs that ride somewhat in this area. If you want to discuss them offline, send me a PM.

I'm from Slower Lower Delaware (Harrington). Been lurking on this forum for about 3 years. I ride with an informal group every Tuesday/Thursday out of Milford when daylight permits.
No one close to me it seems :( I'm out of the Newark area. Any one doing Bike to the Bay this weekend?

Hitori, you're acting like Delaware is a big state or something :)
Haha , true but I dont drive so thinking of people getting together to go biking in Dover or Pike Creek seems like pretty far away.

Well if you ever felt like a long ride, we could meet halfway or something and head out from there. I don't drive unless I absolutely have to.
I'm sure there are more people from Newark around, but I'd def. be up for meeting halfway between. It's only 20 miles or so from Wilminton to Newark.
Hitori, you have some pretty nice MTB areas around you in Middle Run and Fair Hill

What's up? I just joined up to this site about a week ago. In fact, this is the first online forum I've ever joined, and I've had a computer for 3 years! What took me so long? Anyway, I am getting back into mt. biking for the first time since the 90's, and I just bought a new(used) bike. It's alittle on the cold side to be riding currently(and the high tomorrow will be about 23deg!), but I'll be looking forward to some warmer spring weather to do some riding.
I'll list the trails that I'm familiar with, and if anyone knows of other/better trails let me know! Well here we go: 1. White Clay Creek preserve(both DE and PA sections) 2. Middle Run 3. Iron Hill 4. Fair Hill preserve.
Thats it. I'd love to ride some new ones though. I'd be willing to drive 30-35 miles to ride some long, quality singletrack. Does anyone know of any De mountain bike groups?

I ride with First State Velo Sport and there are some MTBer's in the mix. Check out Henry's Bikes for some info.

First state Velo sport, is that the place just off of 896 in Glasgow? And I'd forgotten all about Henry's. I haven't driven into Pike Creek shopping center for probably 10 years, since I moved out of Polly Drummond.
Looking at their link, it looks like they now carry a much larger selection of bike brands. Most place around here only carry 2-3 brands. Anyway, thanks for the info. Are you a road, or offroad biker?
