Foo - Awww YEAH! BEER! (no, really!)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Do you like beer? If so, what styles and brands? Where does your beer come from?

No...it's horrible. It's one of the nastiest liquids ever devised and I don't see how people can drink it. Ugh! Yuck!

Yes.
Budwieser and Amberbock.
USA.
yep. My most recent find was Bass Ale. very nice. but I also have been known to quaff Becks, LaBatts, Dos Equis and Molson's canadian. depending on what's on sale.
I'm not going to pretend that I'm some sort of beer connoiseur. I just know that I don't like the cheaper stuff [busch, natty, etc] and I tend to like Modello Especiale. Never tried bass.

If I have my way, it's enjoying whatever's on tap right down the street at Emmett's Tavern & Brewing (http://www.emmettstavern.com/) in W. Dundee, IL.
When there's a batch of it available, the Munich Dunkel Lager is like a sweet sweet Fall day full of sunshine.
Think global, drink local!

If it's a blazing hot summer day working out in the yard or at the ballpark, that's when I love a near freezing can of mass-produced swill like Busch, Miller High Life, or Old Style.
ONLY under the blazing sun. Anywhere else and that stuff will drop your IQ by 20 points.
I love beer.
ROOT beer of course :D
Mhmmmm sugar.....

I get addicted to things embarrasingly easily, and build tolerances very quickly. I had a sip of wine at a wedding when I was a teen and wanted more for a couple of months. I won't touch that ****.
Typically I buy Shiner Bock. Texas brewed, mostly found in the Lone Star State. There are a few others I can stomach, but not really much of a beer drinker. I'd rather have a Rum & Coke, Seven & Seven, etc.

I brew my own. I have an all grain home brewery in my shed. I always have two beers on tap in my basement. Usually an IPA or APA on one tap and a porter or stout on the other. I would say about 85% of it gets drunk by friends, I just like brewing up diferent recipes and seeing how they turn out.
Whatever's on sale at the store...it doesn't really matter what it tastes like if you drink enough of it...
Summit Cream Stout
Wellington Ale
Guinness Stout (but only draught)
Newcastle Ale
Full Sail Pail Ale
Anchor Steam
Samual Adams Boston Lager
Warsteiner

Anything from Pyramid or Deschutes Brewery.
Arrogant Bastard Ale is also great.
But you can never go wrong with Guinness, either.

I love beer. A nice, full-bodied English Bitter or India Pale being my favourites (Fuller's ESB). I also enjoy a fine pilsener or select lagers. Someone mentioned Stella Artois earlier and that is one of my favourite lagers. As far as American Beers go, I am a HUGE fan of Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale.
Cheers,
Brian
