There seems to be a lot of this going on in the regional forums. So I am jumping on the band wagon and Claim San Diego to be part of the Pacific Northwest, better buy some rain coats quick:D

I just had a wonderful week of riding in SD. I managed to ride from Imperial beach to San Clemente and back since monday. It took 3 seperate rides to complete this mission. I also managed to squeak in a rode trip to Julian for some apple pie and awesome dessert scenery. You guys are lucky down here.

If only I could convice my wife of this. She wants to go back to Seattle, and I'm afraid I'd melt with all the rain. :) 3" a year is plenty.

Yeah, but only bummer is paying $750k for a cardboard box to live in that people here call "houses".

Oh well, I guess you really can't have it all!

Can we be inserted into the middle of the Oregon coast? It's so pretty there. While you work out the logistics of our move, I'll work on improving my rain riding skills.

Glad you had a good time. I actually know someone from Everett. Kim is her name. Do you know her?

Everett is a big city dude.
We aren't going to relocate all of San Diego, that's just a pain. We are just going to go down there and bring some nice mellow stratus clouds with us.

I left San Diego in 1989, and I still miss it. Here in Kentucky, there are very few cyclists, and all people talk about is golf, cattle, hogs and Jesus!

A rider in Kentucky? Wow, you're brave to ride there. I'm originally from Clarksville, Tn which boarders Fort Campbell, and there are so few cyclists there too since the stupid rednecks spit snuff on them as they blast by in their pickups (ah, look, I left what could have been one of my future husbands behind on his farm with the hogs and boone wine). You're a brave soul to ride out on those 2-lane hwys!

I moved to San Diego in 1997 from Los Angeles (I'm an upstate NY boy originally) and I love San Diego. It truely is America's finest city.
