To start you off, there are three price classes. 120: Stronglight 190: Miche, 75s, Vigorellis 285: Campy, Dura-ace, Grand Mighty
This is usually what you'll see around here, all are very nice, and will serve you well without any problems:
Sugino 75s - Pretty much the best you need, everything else you pay more for the name or looks. Can get in black and silver in lengths up to 175mm.
FSA Vigorelli - same price as 75s, but it comes with a chainring. Can get up to 175mm arms. Nice, stiff, and smooth. The carbon disc spider is a bit of a turn off for some people. I had them on my old bike and was always worried about scratching the carbon. There is another version of FSA track cranks that came on Fuji track pros and now comes on Raleigh Rush Hour Pros. It had a carbon arm and an aluminum spider. You can't find those in stores though so check ebay or craigslist.
Miche - Need some fine-tuning due to some design differences to get perfect chainline (I don't really know what the deal with this is though, it could be minor, somebody else will explain it). All the ones I've mentioned so far have 144 bcd spiders, but Miche has 135 bcd, which forces you to usually go with their own chainrings and not standard track ones.
Stronglight - Cheapest cranks here, but have a 130mm bcd.
Suntour Superbe Pro - Very pretty cranks, but harder to find. Ebay.
Campy Pista Cranks -sexy as hell on an Italian bike, only in silver, up to 170mm lengths.
Dura-ace - There is an older square tapered version of the current style that is better than the current octa-link style which is prone to stripping the splines if you do lots of skids, atleast that is my and a few others opinion. Can get up to 175mm lengths in the current version.
Sugino Grand Mighty - Apparently flexy. No reason to buy these guys. Unless you really like suginos
Of course there is campy, DA, etc. They will serve you well.
There are also Sugino Zen rings that are the ****.
There is a black Sugino Zen Messenger version, but they only make up to 48 tooth in that style.
FSA makes a nice ring that is cheaper than most and black.
All the QBP rings are nice as well (Salsa, Engagement Ring) and cheaper than DA, campy.
Nice cranks are generally all expensive >: o
