Poor kitty. :( Sorry, but I'm way more compassionate towards animals than humans, and you must realize how badly the pound must suck. I read recently that the decibel levels in pounds can damage human hearing, so you can imagine what it does to a canine or felines ultr-sensitive hearing, not to mention their dear little psyches. You get a bunch of dogs, who're territorial by nature, put them all close enough to see each other, but can't greet one another, and they will bark incessantly.

Anyway, I got my Melvin out of the pound for $35, best money I've ever spent, because he's the best friend I've ever had. We have a form of ESP I've never experienced with another living creature. I like cats, too, but I am allergic to them.

I've got a cat.

He is afraid of everything.

Except for my two 105 (each) dogs.

Beta male dog thniks the cat is his. God help anyone who messes with his cat.

The cat is in a cage and has probably been mistread, of course it is distressed. I'm a dog person myself but a distressed dog is way scarier than a cat. I've never seen a house cat kill someone.

I prefer cats always. Cats have a more defined, unique personality. If you feed a dog, he/she will be your friend. A cat, it is not so easy. They appear to be a lot smarter to me. Plus, a lot easier to take care of.

damn, that sucks. i hate seeing stuff like that. i did some volunteer work at a shelter before and there were some animals that had mental disorders and you just knew nobody was going to adopt them. this is why you gotta get your pets 'fixed' unless you're trying to breed them.
