Mountain Bike Racing - Here come the butterflys

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

The first race of the season is only 3 weeks a way. The nerves are already starting. I will be doing mostly xc until then to get my endurance up a little more since I am now much better at the tech stuff. Any one else here racing at the Sagebrush Safari in San Diego?

I'm know the feeling...My first race of the season is on Sunday, which coincidently will be my first ever DH race. I've been snowboarding most of the winter so I haven't had much saddle time. No high expections, just mainly racing to hang out with buddies, drink a few beers and have a good time.

Enjoy the race JP. Totaly DH'ing in a race is so different as apposed to just riding with your buds. My wife is going to do the race tomorrow for her first race also. The course is so easy. The guys that are winning on it are riding XC bikes because there are no drops or jumps. Just a few woops, few waterber crossings and a couple of quick climbs. Not your typical run.
Good luck to you
