I told my sister I'd look into options for her for group rides in Phoenix, as she is very interested but doesn't know where to start. Once I get some basic info, I'm throwing it back to her to follow up. She's 53, in good shape, lots of hiking (Grand Canyon, etc.). Just recently had to give up recreational soccer due to some knee problems. Doesn't do much riding now, but is interested if she can find a group that would work for her. I know she wants to do it as a combo exercise and recreational, not anything heavy duty competitive. Having said that, I don't think she wants to just cruise around at 8-9 miles an hour, either.

Any recommendations on any club or shop rides she should contact? She's in Glendale (I'm in Chicago, so I'm not much of a resource for her).

MANY THANKS!

here's one I found while looking for a bike, on Wed they have an all girls ride. It may be to far for her to drive but she may be able to get some info from them on ride groups in her area
