So i got a set of Campy Record Cranks (2006) and am looking at a few pairs of Campy Record Pedals for my fixie....is there a difference in threading? The auction says that the pedals are Italian thread....whcih I figure would fit with the Campy record Cranks....but I just wnat to make sure.....since the seller bothered to list this fact....I thought perhaps it was a different thread pattern than normal. thanks for the help guys!
here are the pedals:

Oh, why is the first one listed as Track/Pista? Is one newer? What is the difference between a road and track pedal?
ADAM
track pedals usually have a slightly shorter spindle to provide more clearance on the banked walls. Notice that the cage on the track pedals doesn't wrap around. If you're worried about pedal strike, get the track pedals. If you are going for distance rides, the larger platform of the road pedals should be a little more comfortable with fewer hot spots.
if you want the road pedals you might want to reconsider battling those crazy people for those 50th anniversary ones.

Are those made of Ti? The listing seems to say so, but the pics scream Al to me. What gives?
only the spindles are titanium, the body and cage are alu.

Just make sure you wear stiff-soled shoes! I have the track pedals and they really dig into your feet if you're not wearing good shoes.
agreed on the stiff soles on track pedals. what do you normally wear to ride them?

I use insoles in my Adidas Sambas. They suck withouth the insole though, because they are really really old (well, a year of daily use) and have lots of holes in them/virtually no sole left. But they were super waterproof before they fall apart and considering what I put my shoes through they're pretty durable.
There have been quite a few threads about shoes, do a search for "shoes" in the thread titles.
Those track pedals sold for USD175! That's more than three times what I paid for a set of NOS in box high flange Campy Record Pista hubs.
Who drives this insane market?

Me, I won them....i bid way to high on accident, but it was too late for me to cancel my bit. I meant to bid $100.51...and accidentally bid $1005.10 GOod thing no one REALLY wanted to drive the bid up...oh well, i guess I have some new pedals...they ahve better be made of Titanium and DIAMONDS.

I would hate you if I ever wanted Campy track hubs... Apparently, they go for $270 over here. Wierd considering how close we are to Italy and there's no import tariff, either.
LOL about entering 1005 maximum instead of 100. That could have been very costly.

Sure... 270 comes from the shameless b@stard who imports stuf from Italy and usually asks as much as a rich kid who really wants it is willing to pay. I'm sure Italian ebay has better offers.

never trust ebay or c-list people when they say something is pista or track...
