Hey, I'm working on getting back into mountain biking. When I was younger (15-16) I did amature racing at a local park on my GT Aggressor. I still have the bike and have mostly used it to ride to class here at college. But recently I've gotten back into trail riding b/c I used to run long distances on trails but my knees aren't happy with me  I've been on the trails everyday for the past 2 weeks.
So I've been riding local trails that are pretty good all around, big rocks to go over, great decents and such. I'm very close to the mountains in SC. I'm riding as hard as I can on my GT, but it just doesn't hold up to what I want to do. I'm wanting to get into more downhill type decents b/c there are some good places for that here. I'm looking into a Specialized stumpy fsr as a trail bike and keeping my GT as just a commuter/beater bike. I hope to catch back up on the mountain biking scene on here. thanks to all in advance for any help....
