Whats shakin folks?

I'm new to the forum and pretty much brand new to biking as a hobby and figured I'd post here to introduce my little bitty self.

Mah real names John Rodwell, and I live in Lexington Ky.

As I said, I'm just getting into biking, I used to ride all over the place as a kid and got into jumping and tricks, etc etc etc, then a wreck pretty much nuked my left arm and I spent a full year in a cast (yeah, it was LOADS of fun). By the time I had recovered enough to ride again I had a car, and just didnt really care to anymore. I ended up getting pretty bad outa shape, and recently picked up riding again as a hobby and way to get my flabby ass into decent form again. I dont really have anywhere to ride as yet.. So far my biking is limited to a little 3 mile ride along some local sidewalks. If anyone knows any good places to ride round here, lemme know. =]

Soo... umm.. What else to say eh? I dunno, shyte. Anyway, like I said, Im located around lexington ky, and can usually be found under the hood of someones car, tinkering with someones computer, installing car stereo's and so on.

Welp, thats it. Lata folks.

Welcome John,
Are you into road or mountain biking, or no preference? If you're into mountain biking, you should take a trip east to the Daniel Boone NF, or even more east to W.VA. I lived in Lexington for a few months and found that the town was not too biker friendly. However, within a few hours drive you've got lots of good mountain biking. I'm sure you'll be able to find road rides right there in town....peace..

mountain biking actually, though at the moment I'm still just road riding, I'm working on getting back into decent shape, and hope to be there sometime in early summer, once that goal is accomplished I'm gonna start actually riding some trails and off-raod riding. Till then, Im a road biker on a mountain bike. =]

Me too, I ride road and mountain; but both on my mountain bike. You should still check out some of the mountain bike trails in the area, some aren't too difficult for those out of shape. have fun.
