Triathlon - Question about softrides from a roadie!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I ride a tirreno razza 2.0 (a road alu frame with 105 components). I am offered a frame trade for a new Softride. (Same components)

Would you do it?

Txs for the feedback!

Is the bike purely for TT/Tris, or would be your only bike?

Which model and what do you intend to use it for? The geometry of some Softride models are more geared toward triathlon/time-trialing (long front-center/short rear-center and short head tube for riding steep) and others are more geared toward road riding and yet others are kind of in-between (usable for either).

I have an old Powerwing 700 which has an "in-between" geometry and I use it for triathlon. I really like the ride.

I'd be using it for road rides and commuting no time trials in the immediate future. I think the frame would be the aformentionned middle of the road.
the more I think of it, the less I like the deal though...
