October charity ride in the Piedmont area. Nice route, rolling hills. Choice of 10/30/65 miles. This is organized by the group that I ride with. A whole bunch of nice folks. Any BF'ers going?

I'm signed up and did the first two rides. It's a good time, plus the route is along my usual ride routes so it's easy for me.

I didn't know there was another BF'r in Hick-town! cool!

Anyhoo, I am planning on riding with my friend that has just gotten started with cycling. We are going to do the 30 together. I've followed the marked course and it is a nice one. Rolls right past my house, too! (in case I sleep in late, I can just jump in line, eh? he he).

cheers!

I'll be there, the weather is looking good. I'll be on a Litespeed Arenberg with a yellow Selle Flight saddle. I would hope there would be more than 2 BF riders going.

I'll keep my eyes open for you, huffman....in the midst of the 600 other people! ha ha. I'm on a blue c-dale (doesn't exactly stand out in a crowd, does it?). I'll be riding the 30 with a couple of friends that don't ride too much; we are going to make it a fun day. Hope you have a good ride!

I'll be doing the 30 and busting butt, I've got a meeting right after lunch. Do they really have 600 riders signed up? I'll be getting my packet Saturday afternoon.

My wife and I are considering the 30 mile route. We'll decide for sure this evening and register. If we make it we'll be on a Trek T100 tandem.

Huffman: that is what Steve told me at Rock & Road when I registered....600 riders, yikes! I'm just not sure where everyone is going to park! Lucky for me, I live close enough to just roll over to the Y. Bummer you can't take you time and enjoy the day; maybe your meeting will be cancelled?!

Pigonwa: Hope you and your wife decided to go! It should be a good day.

Jamie: I'll have to check out that Hendersonville ride. Have you done it before?

Almost 600 riders have signed up, this should be some ride! There will be a mass start because they will be shooting some video for promotional use. They will line riders up according to what you are riding, 60 first, them 30 then 10 but all going off together.

Packets are available today (Saturday) till 6:00.

For anyone from out of town, the parking lot across from Frye Regional Medical Center is usually a good bet or you can park downtown and head to the YMCA, it's less than a mile. If anyone needs directions, PM me and I'll get them for you.

Dress warm!
