So I am getting ready to order a wheelset for the cross season. Here is what I am considering currently:

Velocity Escape 28 Hole rims
DT super comp 2.0/1.7/1.8 spokes 3X
Speedcific Serenity hubs

Then using some Tufo 32mm tubies.

Seems like it would be a strong wheelset and still be pretty lightweight. Light enough that when the spring rolls around I can run it as a bad weather tubular race wheelset for road as well. Should be about 1400 grams. I'm not one for shaving grams at the cost of reliability... but I think this would hold up well as a race wheelset.
