Hello,

I have a set of low-end Bontrager carbon forks on my steel road bike (came with the rig). They're fine, but they deflect (flex and even shudder forward and backward) quite a bit when braking. I'd like to replace them with a set of steel forks, but my options are limited. Anyone know where I can order a set of unfinished steel straight-blade unicrown road forks? I've been scouring the Internet and I've only been able to find the basic Tange chrome-plated road forks, which are nice, but I'd like something I can paint.

Cheers,

Dustin

I have one of these http://www.bikecult.com/works/parts/FKgenSB.html

It's cheap ($57) and has been a good fork for a couple of years now. Plus Bikeworks NYC is a great shop.

Nice, thanks for the link!

Those forks look pretty good, especially for 57 bucks!
