Commuting - Fall in Atlanta

I just got back from running some errands at lunch and I have to say it doesn't get much better than this. Of course the weather was so nice I wound up extending my lunch by about thirty minutes.

80 F and early Sept. Man this is going to be a nice fall.

Usually its still in the upper 80's or low 90's this time of the year. It made this mornings commute absolutely wonderful.

Today is a nice day. I've got the rest of the day free, I'm going to bike down to Rutledge, just because it's so pretty out.

Hey Atl folk. I agree that this is a great time of year. I rode home late last night and had to throw on some sleeves. This morning was comfortably chilly and still nicely warm on my way out to lunch. Great time of year, especially if I can get out into the woods this weekend.

Yea, I'm just itching for the ride home today. I'm thinking I'm extending this puppy on the way home today ...

I've been riding with my son to his school this week, and we both remarked how much we liked the cool weather.

Life is just better viewing it from a bike saddle.:D

I'm so jealous. My BF just go back from Detroit where it was raining and warmer than it is here in Santa Barbara where it's always foggy and cold and was even raining this morning. I have to wear 2 coats and a balaclava to ride my motorcycle to work in the summer here.

I hate the weather here.

It was down right cold this morning when I left the house at 5:10 (57 degrees). I started to put on my jacket but thought I would start acclimating to the cold by not wearing it. It was a good choice as I was warmed up nicely 30 minutes into the ride.

Today is another perfect day. Going to Watkinsville this time.

Rode out of Decatur last night and absolutely flew. Took me 15 miles to get my legs warmed up, but we were cranking anyway. Opened all the windows when I got home. With luck I'll be able to leave them open until November.
