Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am looking for some Traveler's Insurance to cover me during my time in Central and South America.
The problem is I haven't got the first clue where to start looking. Could any of you reccomend?
Thanks a bunch!

Are you covered through your credit card, by chance? Otherwise, there is a Latin American travel site, www.exito.com; I think I bought mine through them the last time I was down. Good luck!

I tried that site ari. It took me to a chicagotribune.com/exito/
Thats the correct one? Anyway, I'll have to look in my Spanish dictionary for the word for Insurance and start browsing the site.

well, i'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, but i know that many of the travel agencies like Council Travel sell traveler's insurance. i think it covers like lost or damaged luggage, care and transport home in the event of sickness or injury and other stuff...
what they offer is not very expensive and i think calculated on a per-day basis. sorry no links.
