I've proposed to Cycling Plus magazine in the UK, a series of articles on cycling subcultures. Basically, I want to take the readers into corners of cycling they'd never find otherwise, and also to look at what the people in those corners have in common, what binds them together.
Overall, I'll probably look at alt bike subjects like Zoo-bombing, tall bikes, chopper building, bike co-ops, and other areas like cycle speedway, fixed gear riding, collectors of classic bikes etc. For now, however, they want me to write a sample article, and I decided to start with zoo-bombing, partly because I know some of the people involved who are on here will add a lot of colour to it! So, I wanted to start a discussion, either here or by PM, with anyone who's involved.
I already understand what zoo-bombing is. What I want to know is, how do people end up involved in it, what are the other people like, do they hang out together when not zoobombing, do they cycle, apart from zoobomb, what do they have in common, etc. I want to get a smell of what zoobombers are all about. I'm interested in the differences, too. Anyone willing to help out?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
