Where's Eddie Hazel's guitar on "Maggot Brain"?

George Clinton told him to play like your momma just died.

Stop what you're doing and get a copy of the song and the album

I'm pretty sure he didn't play the solo on that one. Becker sat out most of the good solos.

*Edit

It was Baxter.

Did we mention Cheap Sunglasses yet? What a phenomonel solo (two solos actually), combined with an awesome guitar tone.

The underrated lead guitarist from the Most Famous Band In The World. In I'm Only Sleeping, George Harrison writes a guitar solo (http://marathonpacks.com/Files/sleeping_1-2.mp3)for the purpose of recording it backwards and makes it fit the rhythm of the song perfectly.

I heard "Badge" on the radio this afternoon. While George's part isn't technically a "solo" (more of a "riff"), it absolutely makes the song. George was the master of doing a four or eight bar solo and then handing it off to Paul or John for verse three.

I like Jimmy Page's solo at the end of "the ocean" a lot
Same goes for jimi's at the end of "axis bold as love"
the tiny little lick at the beginning of "fat cat" by nofx is cool
